Kohli has benefited significantly from endorsements since his debut in 2008under 19-world cup. In 2008, he was signed with the Cornerstone Sports and Entertainment’s Bunty Sajdeh, who was a sports agent. Since then, Sajdeh has managed Kohli’s endorsement deals as well as those of other cricket players in the country. By 2013, his endorsements were deemed to have an estimated value of more than 100 crore. According to American Appraisal, Kohli’s brand value was estimated to have a value of $56.4 million, which positioned him as the fourth highly valued celebrity and sportsman brand in 2014. Throughout the history of cricket in India, his endorsement deal with MRF was the most expensive. During the same year, SportsPro, a magazine in United Kingdom rated him as the second marketable sportsman after Lewis Hamilton. By 2015, Kohli had acquired endorsements from more than 11 local and international brands among them Nestlé’s Munch, PepsiCo, Unilever’s Clear hair care, Boost, United Spirits Royal Challenge, MRF, Adidas, Vicks, among others.




For an Indian cricketer, Kohli was the first one to win the fastest century in the ODIs, with 52 balls. In addition, Kohli has won several milestones such as the fastest Indian to ever reach a 1,000 runs in the ODIs. He was awarded a milestone for being the fastest Indian cricket player and the second fastest worldwide in 5,000 runs ODIs, among other awards that he has attained over the years as a professional athlete. As a test captain, Kohli scored three centuries during the first 3 innings in the match. He has won awards such as the 2012 ICC Player of the year award, ICC world ODI XI, BCCI’s Polly Umirigar Award in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015, Arjuba Award, 2013, and the Ceat International Cricketer of the year for three consecutive years since 2011.
